Experience the peaceful countryside of Miyama.
This special small-group cycling tour combines gentle riding through beautiful Satoyama scenery with authentic cultural experiences in a traditional Japanese village.
Ride along quiet rivers, hidden backroads, forests, rice fields, and traditional thatched-roof houses while discovering the simple beauty of country life in rural Japan.
During the tour, guests will stay at Guesthouse Yuu, a beautifully preserved traditional farmhouse over 100 years old, and experience old-style Miyama living, including cooking rice over a wood fire and traditional mochi-making.

TOUR SCHEDULE

Day 1 | Saturday, May 23
10:00 Meet at JR Yamazaki Station or Hankyu Oyamazaki Station
Transfer to Miyama by car
12:00 For local participants: Meet at Miyama Fureai Hiroba Roadside Station
13:00 – 16:00 Relaxed cycling through the Ohno area of Miyama Approx. 20 km
Ride through peaceful countryside landscapes where rivers, forests, rice fields, and traditional thatched-roof houses blend beautifully together.
Enjoy hidden local backroads rarely used by tourists while slowly cycling toward Guesthouse Yuu.
Evening
Traditional farmhouse stay experience
Guests will also enjoy part of the dinner preparation, including cooking traditional mixed rice over a wood fire.
Day 2 | Sunday, May 24
09:00 – 13:00 Morning cycling tour including:
Rennyo Waterfall
Kayabuki no Sato (Thatched-Roof Village)
Optional visit to a local sake museum and brewery
Lunch includes a traditional Japanese mochi-pounding experience.
Tour ends around 13:00.
